LM as my regular readers will know is particularly fond of Malaysians which is why I've recently become alarmed and concerned at some recent decisions.
The latest peculiar policy involved the establishment of a camp for 60 boys who appeared to be displaying effeminate behavior in order to discourage them from being gay and guide them back "to a proper path in life".
LM has written about gay issues on a number of occasions here and here and I am in complete agreement with the Muslim Malaysian Women's Minister Sharizat Abdul Jalil that singling out these boys at such a young age is traumatising and harmful to their mental health.

As a Malaysian currently studying overseas, I was also shocked when I was informed about this piece of info. And I should let you know that this is a state directive and not nationwide, it's blown out of proportion by the Western media. Our country is a moderate Muslim country, and I hope our PM will put a stop on this soon.
