Nick Clegg has promised to fight anti Muslim prejudice in a civil liberties campaign to repeal the draconian anti Muslim laws introduced by New Labour.
London Muslim believes it goes without saying that a party which calls itself Liberal and works towards a liberal, tolerant and just society does deserve the support of the Muslim population in constituencies where there is a genuine chance of them winning despite this crass first past the post electoral system.
I spent some time on the streets of central and West London yesterday and was amazed at the number of Muslims who when questioned mentioned they would support the Lib Dems without hesitation.
